Whirinaki one of the world's most precious rain forests Te Urewera, New Zealand

Many Whirinaki facilities and places are accessable to disabled people in wheelchairs, on mobility scooters or limited in their walking climbing ability, including:

The Mangamate Waterfall and Campsite area where fishing platforms are now provided .
Level tracks and roads in majestic rainforest accesible from the Whirinaki River Road carpark
The H Tree Track which as graded as an easy walk through the midst of the Whirinaki Ecological Management Zone

If people on wheelchairs need a couple of strong pushers and guides to get them safely up these inclined tracks or to explore other parts of Whirinaki; contact us under Guided walks.
