The Department of Conservation runs weekend and longer term projects where volunteers can help with environmental sustainability activities in the park.

Please look at our Kaitiakitanga website to see the bold range of things we have underway in the forest our valley and community. We invite people with specific resources, knowledge, networks or funds to contribute as volunteer partners in this program.

We also invite you to join the network of people around the world helping us share our Organic Leadership Model - The Tipu Ake ki te Ora Lifecyle. This is rooted in nature and uses the lessons of growth in the highly interdependent environment we see in our rainforest.
